Brief note about ISO Tank

An ISO Tank is a tank container which is built to the ISO standard (International Organisation for Standardisation). ISO tanks are designed to carry liquids in bulk, both hazardous and non-hazardous. The tank is made of stainless steel and is surrounded by various types of protective layers.

The ISO tank container was developed for the carriage of all types of liquids, ranging from, but not limited to, potable (food grade) liquids, non-hazardous, and hazardous liquids, including corrosives, flammables, toxics, and explosives.

Tanks are classified according to the specification of the tank shell and fittings. It is this classification which determines what type of product maybe carried. The function of the frame is to support and protect the tank as well as to facilitate the stowage, securing and handling by standard ISO container equipment.

TIMS

We at SOG Infosys Pte. Ltd., Singapore developed a customized web-based software called TIMS to maintain Inventories (ISO Tanks, Cylinders, Pallets, Cylinder Accessories and Gases), Sales and Purchase modules. We mainly focused on ISO Tank maintenance and its transactions. Sales Transactions from Sales Quotation to Sales Invoice and Purchase Transactions from Purchase Requisition to Purchase Invoice (Supplier Invoice) can be handled in the system.

For Example: From refill of ISO Tank.12345 to delivery to customer place can be recorded in the system through documents Refill and Sales Invoice. The status of ISO Tank.12345 can be tracked through inventory module. Also returned of ISO Tank.12345 from the customer can be tracked through relevant document in the system.
